Construction
Life is messy, and construction zones are everywhere—in our physical world and in our spiritual journeys. This message reminds us that while we're navigating funerals, family crises, and unexpected detours, God is actively building something beautiful in us. The powerful story from John 8 of the woman caught in adultery reveals the heart of Jesus: He didn't come to condemn us but to redeem us. When the religious leaders tried to trap Jesus with their accusations, He turned the tables by inviting only the sinless to cast stones. One by one, they walked away, leaving only Jesus—the one person who could condemn her—offering forgiveness instead. This is the foundation of our faith: we cannot build our lives in our own strength, through our own religious efforts, or by our own moral achievements. Unless the Lord builds the house, we labor in vain. Jesus is the chief cornerstone, and every attempt to construct our spiritual lives apart from Him leads to confusion and collapse. The question we must answer is whether the God we serve is full of grace, mercy, and compassion—mysterious yet faithful, unchanging yet always new. If we truly know this God, our mission becomes clear: to love people, serve people, and point them to the freedom found only in Jesus Christ.
